Hikes & Walks

I intentionally limit the difficulty levels to three because everyone experiences a hike differently, and individual fitness levels vary. These three categories should give you a broad idea of what to expect and how to prepare.

Hiking is an enjoyable activity, but remember that your experience of it is entirely your own responsibility. The difficulty level I assign to a hike may not reflect how you personally experience it. Be honest about your own abilities and learn how they relate to my ratings. Even experienced hikers sometimes fall into the trap of underestimating a trail.

Level ★☆☆: Orange --- Level ★★☆: Blue --- Level ★★★: Red

LEVEL ★☆☆ - EASY

This is a relaxed hike or walk, suitable for families and beginners. You shouldn’t encounter any significant challenges.

• Footwear: Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes are sufficient.

• Clothing: Dress appropriately for the season and weather conditions.

LEVEL ★★☆ - MODERATE

Do not take this level lightly. While you should be able to complete the hike without major difficulty, expect some steep or technical sections, or a length that requires endurance.

• Footwear: Proper hiking shoes are recommended.

• Clothing: Wear suitable hiking attire for comfort and protection.

LEVEL ★★★ - CHALLENGING

This level demands both mental and physical preparation. Research the route in advance to understand the terrain and any obstacles you may encounter.

• Essential Gear: Always carry both a digital and a physical map as a backup.

• Preparation: Ensure your equipment, food, and water supply are adequate for the conditions.
