My best friend Jacky (always wanted to use that title)
Bugger.
It frustrates me. At the bar in the evening I understand 80% of what people say to me, regardless if I’m drunk or not (either way I at least think I understand 80% of it).
At work, it’s the other way around. I especially wonder why they have to use a complete different language when they write. Even my colleague takes an hour to write a good sentence.
And then I get a bit silent because it’s hard to communicate.
…
But!
I always get a bit happy when I hear the boss of the international department speaking English or even Chinese. Now I don’t speak a word Chinese, but I have the firm impression that he doesn’t either. And he doesn’t care a bit, he just goes on.
Now that’s the way I have to be! (I already have his inclination to very bad jokes)
Over time it’ll go better.
Time is my best friend (apart from my dictionary).
